Unfortunately if you keep these LF Cornish it sometimes is a nessesary, not the prefered method but nessesary none the less.

Sooner, I believe I heard Jarvis mention that sometimes, like on Cochins, you have to give the Hens a hair cut to insure fertility. I have no idea though!

Yes Cochins are also famous for this, you have to trim both the Rooster and the hen, and trim it well, then if the problem persist AI. I could show you at POOPS Carah, it could certainly improve your fertility. It also a fool proof way to tell if your rooster is even fertile in the first place many folks often wonder this and AI'ing insures that you at least know. There are different stages and colors to look for.

The disappearance couldn't be mysterious, it would come with a bang most of the neighbors would hear. Six weeks ago one of them asked if I had a bb gun to shoot their dog with so it would learn to not come on my property. 3 days later they heard a bang which was a shot to scare the dog away. Before the dog was out of my yard they were yelling for her. They leave me no choice.PS the police department has given me their ok because last spring I lost a baby goat to a dog, a 6 week old lamancha I bought at the auction and bottle fed for 3 weeks.

Been kinda quiet here since my back has given me fits. I usually go out at about 3am with the 7mm Mauser and fire off a few rounds into a pile of dirt that I have for that purpose. Kinda a proactive way on animal control. Once every couple of weeks usually does the trick and it keeps fifi and fido from roaming at night.
