mine is very sweet to his girls but is the head roo, never has bothered me or the kids. I don't try to handle him as he is in the layer flock so I only catch him when he needs to be treated for something or when testing time comes.

Beth are you like me ,I have a different meanoming for groups of chickens than most folks. A pair is a hen and two roos,a trio is two hens and four roos and a flock is from 1-5 hens and 5-15 roos!lol,now thats chicken math.
