KarenN - Look for me at the swap. I will have chicks, chickens, and ducks. If I can find my blue POOPS shirt, I'll wear it. Otherwise, look for a silver Tacoma. My cages will be set up on a couple of white folding tables, and the rest will be on the tailgate.

I'll look for you! I'm just shopping and checking things out tomorrow - may bring some next time! What kind of chicks??

I will have chicks in the following breeds: easter eggers, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire Reds, Speckled Sussex, and I'm not sure what else.

I will also have Khaki Campbell, White Pekin, and Swedish ducklings.

Peep nextdoor are looking for some baby gease..Are you bringing any birds to the auction sat...An do you need a polish roo to go with your hen i have a extra,,,

Mike I think were good on roos. I dont really have anything to take sat. Got a question I have foxes eating my birds. How do you trap them? Using a live trap but they wont go near them. I lost 12 birds in two nights.

leg hold and snare work better on foxes...best thing is to sit and wait with a shotgun...have known folks to catch them with live traps but they have some sort of voodoo going as far as I can tell...coons are easy to catch...not always easy to keep trapped but they fall for stuff pretty easily...cats are dumb...skunks are really dumb....bobcats can be tricky...I would go with snares if you don't have cats and dogs running around

been looking for our little guinea all day- she was out with the big guys yesterday- no sign of her today- i hope she made it through the night...

best deterrent for a fox is get a good dog...a yappy terrier runnin loose, then a good hound that can handle that fox

Came home to pick up son for physical therapy and checked .found a small egg smeared with blood. This is the second small egg but the first time with blood. I believe I have a new hen that just started laying but what caused the blood?

no it is legal to color chicks , and sell them in oklahoma , there is no state law stating its illegal , there is only city ordinances for it in that city such as okc has one , but other than that it is legal , ive already talked with the local authorities and osu extension office as well as the state agriculture department

just happens with pullets, there is a considerable amount of stretching to allow the egg to be layed, as long as it isnt just covered in blood, I wouldnt give it a second thought, very normal.....kind of like pushin a football through the mouth of a water balloon....

Good, that's what I was hoping. You guys are so great and sorry for asking so many questions, but I really appreciate your input.
