oklahoma chickenstock-- SUCCESS!!!AWESOME!!!THANKS TO ALL!!

Hey, everyone! I am a newby and hoping to start with some chicks in the spring. I am afraid that it might be too late to start this fall. Can anyone give me the details of the gathering on the 25th?? I think it would be great for us to go to and the kids would loooove it! We live between Guthrie and Edmond (near the Lazy E areana, if you know where that is) we are new to Oklahoma, as well.

I love this site! Glad I found it. Please let me know anything you can as far as the gathering on the 25th. Thanks

Thanks! The weather affecting the color changes make sense. Not something that I had thought about.

Okcin06 where are you from originally?

I am happy to say that we now know what we have been missing all these years:D
We consider ourselves long lost Okies;)
I have been trying to look through the posts to see where the Okie Chickenstock is going to be, but haven't found the location. Will one of you who are in the know share the scoop? My hubbie (and kids) are so excited. Maybe we will get some chicks and start our journey (addiction??) this month after all!

Thank you all for the wonderful info on the site!

Hey - does anyone have any Buff Orpinton chicks that will be at Chickenstock? We are thinking this is the breed we want to try.

sorry for not keeping the thread updated and missing everyone I have been running around here like a chicken with a lost chick, tryin to get everything togather, signs made and venders ready and all that good stuff. well okiemommy I live right here at the base of the drive and the colors are startin to look great its going to be a very colorfull season this year. Okie06 the chickenstock location will be at the leflore county Fair grounds in the main barn which is right behind the phil gardener rodeo arena. and next to the ball fields, I will have a ton of signs out just look to the chickens pointin the way.

Our plans have been changed, and I am free to come to ChickenStock!!
Maw, is it too late for me to send you an entry form for my birds?

I have a good question for all that are going to attend the stock. Who that are going would be interested in buying roosters ? I have lots of roosters Welsummers, Golden Lakenvelders, black sex link , Game, red sexlink.
I don't want to bring all of them as I don't have pet taxi enough to bring them all.
If your for sure interested let me know so I will know what to do.
Thanks hope to see you all at the stock.

Update... I will not be able to attend as my birds have quit laying and I have no ride. So enjoy and take lots of pictures...
