OSU, thank you for sharing the videos. I enjoyed them. Those are some sharp looking birds. I was reading that he has had them for 30+ years? If I was looking to get into this breed, I would start right there.

Good luck on replacing your rooster.I have some White Empordanesa set to hatch Thursday. ( a few may be white empordanesa x crele penedesenca)
I have 12 more cooking now as well set to hatch Next Friday plus
12 crele penedesenca x creme legbar olive egger crosses. My friend is getting some nice speckled olive eggs off this cross.
I am really hoping to get a Empordanesa rooster at least to replace the one that D#m hawk killed ! I have 2 hens presently.
Thank you. My friend has 3 eggs in lock down out of 12. I have not candled the dozen I have yet. Need too but been busy and nothing stinks or sunken so I figured I am ok.Good luck on replacing your rooster.
Those are george's new Catalanas. Actually, they are not nice. They are simply the best I've ever seen in the States. A very very rare breed and these are the best..... far beyond nice. lolnice what are these? I may of mised it so sorry if I did.
yes they are I am not super familiar with Catalina's but like what I have heard as they are similar to penedesenca in Heat Hardiness and alertness. Just lay a white egg instead of a dark brown egg. In Spain there is a Blue Tailed Empordanesa that looks similar to this. Not in the states though. I so wish they where but needing a white egg layer Catalina make sense. I have a few Sandhill orders I was going to try this year and was thinking of adding some of these to the order. Though I am sure they will not be as nice now I think I will. Those are george's new Catalanas. Actually, they are not nice. They are simply the best I've ever seen in the States. these are sunning. I wonder if you wanted to copy this pattern onto another breed what you would need. I would love to work on a Blue Tailed Empordanesa project.Coolglad you decided to post those Catalanas up on here George, you know you much I like those "orange" colored breeds, probly as much or more so than you LOL![]()
