Old Cage

My Rhode Island Reds have just moved in to their new coop. But they keep going back to their old [8x4] cage. Should I take it down or what?

I (DH, actually) just finished our new coop and had the same problem. At first I just closed it off. They kept trying to get in anyway. I finally took it down and they went right into the new coop with no problems. This was on Tuesday of this week. Good luck, let me know how it goes for you.

You can close them up for a day or two in the new coop and they will probally never go back to the small one...

Thanks I pulled up the fence 2 days ago and they have been hanging around where it used to be but, their starting to venture out.
