Old Duck

Anyone have experience with this? They're a year old- some of them at least. Oh, and they're Scovies...should I just cook them in the crockpot for 8-12 hours or something? How much water would help them the most?

To me old muscovy drakes are almost unpalatable. Hens or young drakes are outstanding eating, but after one try I just buried old drakes.

I cooked mine in the oven on low, basted it a lot, filled it with garlic and other veggies and a little white wine. I also kept it covered in tinfoil, it was really tender and juicy... good luck!
