So Missy has been acting strange and in pain ALL week since the day after she laid her first egg. She’d make little holes in the dirt, always making sure she covered her vent, and extended her leg, and she’d let out an immense amount of squawking noises;
(wasn’t dust bathing)
When she would actually bother with getting up and walking, she’d pulse her bottom and cluck LOUDLY! I knew something was wrong
Later that day... SHE WAS THE NESTING BOX!
I thought, good, she just needed to lay, she should be fine. Hours later, she was still in there
And a few MORE hours later...
SHE LAID HER SECOND EGG!
It had a bit of blood on it, but I think she’ll be okay:
My Piper sounds as though he has a perpetual sore throat.
