My pair of oegb are the sweetest! They are only mixed with sebrights though!
I have OEGBs in a mixed flock and haven’t experienced any problems with them being aggressive towards humans or chickens or any other creatures. All mine are free range and I think that makes all the difference because they can get away from each other when pecking order drama happens. When they are cooped up and can’t get away from each other is when problems *might* be more likely to occur.First time OEG mamma! Millie Fleur in coloring. I thought they were going to be d'Uccle Bantams, but they came clean legged. The hatchery order got messed up, but I’m pretty excited about these two! I always admired the beauty of OEG, but I thought they were on the aggressive side. However, from my reading it’s more of the standard birds that have this temperament? Can anyone speak from experience on how they do in a mixed flock? Thanks!
Have you considered ordering some chicks from Hoover’s Hatchery? That’s where I got mine and they’ve worked out really well.I love OEGBS, and have wanted them for a long time. I have eggs that were supposed to ship three weeks ago but still haven’t.![]()
I’m in Canada, so I can’t unfortunately. They should ship next Monday, and if they don’t, I’ll be more grumpy than I already amHave you considered ordering some chicks from Hoover’s Hatchery? That’s where I got mine and they’ve worked out really well.
