I put overlapping strips of fly screen over my hens doorway out of the coop, the push through it fine and it keeps the flys and mozzies out.

Well you'll know when they hatch cause you'll hear peeping, you don't have to do a thing but enjoy the moment and watch mama and chicks. It's so cool!

Excellent, at least it will be a pleasant surprise, but now I have no idea if I have a week or a day or what, I'm lost without that calender!

the hen is a sibling of the 1st 2 I took pics of (1st hatch of the year). The roo is from "mama's" 1st hatch (broody #4 and broody # 12 lol)

lol, I know. You just couldn't ask for a more perfect or prettier blue than her. It was hard to get that pic. She is ferrel and camera shy.

Is that a BYOC party?

(Bring Your Own Chick)

Why yes, yes it is.

EDIT: I just candled a random egg and it is completely full, good air cell on the end and veins barely visible at the very edge next to the air sac, so the chick is filling that egg right up! Looks like we are close to what would be lock down if I was using an incubator!
