Did she break the skin under the shell? if she didnt i wouldnt take it out because my friend has had one hatch that had a hole in the shell but not the skin part.
I think you should leave it then, but someone more experienced might think differentley...No the skin is not broke
So does your Orpington have the peeping eggs or not??The Leghorn still has all of her chicks..8 of them When i moved her..she has two peeping eggs under her too. I thought 8 was enough so I took those two peeping eggs and two other eggs and gave them to a broody Orpington that I have been trying to break. She is the one who squished the chicks. They got out of the eggs and were flat as pancakes under her. I took out the other two eggs and stuck them in the incubator with all the rest of my eggs..one just hatched out now. i might just give it back to the original hen. it is all alone. I check the other egg and it is a dud. my other eggs are not due to hatch till Friday.
