Actually her bedding is pine shavings. She stayed on the nest after I dusted it with DE, stirred it around and set her back in. I hope I get some hatches from the clutch.
I don't know how good of a broody she's being since this is my very first one. She was off the nest for quite a while yesterday.
I will definitely get her some high protein cat food. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm sure it's a lot of work being a broody, especially with all those mites bothering her. Makes me feel so bad.
I will definitely look into spraying sevin. That sounds like a great idea.
