I have started restoring (or at least trying to) old hand crank sewing machines. I have 4 well, technically 5 but one of them is a old childs (maybe?) one that is coated in plastic so I don’t like counting it as one. I have 1 singer forgot what it is, Jones not really sure which one, metal child’s one (?) and the newest one I think it says Vesta on it

Makes it a bit scary to start doing it :th
Right. I screwed up this chair I was doing for my neighbors that was worth about 1000$ I completely messed it up. The leather was the wrong color and everything. Lucky to get 100$ for it. Luckily I learned from my mistakes and am better at doing things like that now. Just read online a bit before doing that and search up the model so you can get a good look at what you will be doing and you should be fine! I know you can do it!

I have been doing research but there isn’t much information on it, and there are lots of people making videos who don’t know what they are doing. Do you have any pictures that you wouldn’t mind sharing? I like seeing what other people have done

Here are some photos I found online. Hope they help! I've got to get to church, so see you soon!

If you go to the singer website, and type in your serial number, it will tell you everything but the time the last screw was turned. I found an old foot pedal singer, and found out it was made November 23, 1911… a singer “red eye”
