She didn't make it over last night. Yesterday night I was so happy she lived and I thought that everything would turn around and get better but it only got worse. We can only hope that our barred rock doesn't turn out the same...

Is there a bad smell from the sick chicken or the one that died? Coryza stinks pretty bad according to what I have read, but MG also can cause the bad swelling. Tylan 50 injectable would be a more potent drug for MG, or sulfadimethoxine for coryza. Sorry about losing your hen. You should keep any sick birds separated, and think about getting testing or a necropsy by the state vet on the next one that dies. You need to maintain a closed flock with no new birds added, or no hatching eggs or chickens being sold or given away, as MG can be passed through eggs.
