Olive Egger Question

Would I get Olive Eggers from a cross of a Splash Wheaten Americana roo and Golden Comet hens? Or would they be just a regular EE and lay blue/green/pink eggs?

You would probably end up with green eggs but to get the dark olive color eggs I would use either a welsummer or a marans.

Agreed. Probably just green eggs from that cross, but maybe lots of them!

Most use Marans to Welsummer to get the dark coating on the otherwise green egg. I've got a couple more months of waiting on my Cuckoo Marans/ Blue Ameraucana pullet. Can't wait to see if the cross "worked."
