Olive egger rooster with EE hen???

Most of mine lay blue, or extremely pale green. Also wondering if the chicks will look EE-ish. I've always had EEs but just ordered OE hens and a roo.

Well the OEs should look like EEs but with the possible addition of feathered legs depending on what they use for the dark egg color (Marans v Welsummer usually). They should retain the muffs and pea comb since those are dominant... although I suppose they could also use Cream legbar or muffless EEs or Araucana for the blue egg gene. In any case once you put it over your EEs they will get the muff and pea comb genes, which will be retained depending on the genetics of your EEs.

I would expect the eggs to be less olive since the brown coating on the egg will likely diminish. Your blue laying hens have little to no brown coating and the green ones have a small to medium amount of brown coating, whereas the olive eggers should have a heavy layer of brown coating.
