Olive Egger? Rooster?

Most of the time you can hold them upside down by their feet and if they pull up they are hens if not they are rooster. This is how my Papa always did it and it was true to form.
This has been proven inaccurate, & a common wives tale.

I have another bird that looks a bit suspect as well. 😳 it's a welsummer. I'll post pics soon.
The Welsummer & Olive Egger Roos might give offspring with cool colored shells...maybe breed each of them before you give them away if you can, & hatch those eggs to see what you get. Eventually I want one roo, either blue green or speckled egg breed to get a rainbow from the babies eggs...I don’t know how long you can keep them before they have to go though...

Goodness I would LOVE to keep a rooster. I would love it so much! I have always been fascinated with roosters...BUT...we aren't even supposed to have laying hens where I live. We had chickens 2 years ago and ended up with 2 unexpected cockerels. They gave us up and we had to rehome all of our beloved birds. My kids and I cried so hard. We've been fighting ever since to get hens allowed and they are still denying it. My husband said let's put up a fence and get some again because the village board is being ridiculous...so here we are...if there is a way to make the rooster quiet that actually works we'd keep him for sure! I've looked into "no-crow" collars but they just appear to decrease the noise and you can still hear the crow. I don't want to be found out again. 😭

Mypetchi Ken finally got back to me...
