Anyone else have Olive Egger pullets from Townline hatchery this year?
Would love to see pictures of hens that are laying and their eggs. They are fairly new - even the website doesn’t have actual images of full grown hens and eggs. Would love to see the outcomes and if they are worth it.
Mine will be 20 weeks tomorrow and I thought they were getting close to lay but two of their combs seem to be growing now so I’m really not sure!
Here are pictures-

I’ve never ordered from Townline, but your birds make me want to. They’re stunning! :love
interested to see responses!
Thank you so much!! I hope I get some pictures- I’m so curious!

I also have Welsummers, Light Brahmas, Black Sex Links and Easter Eggers from Townline and they have all been happy, healthy and thriving- but not laying yet :barnie

I’ve been very happy with them and would happily order from them again. I do wish they sold Faverolles or legbars - maybe in the future they will!

sorry can't help but they are lovely. i was just going to say that now the time of year may delay them laying til spring! I've had that happen with some of mine. its all the timing of when you get them. fall is a good time so they are laying in the spring etc....now you might have to wait til spring to see! i have a young one too that did not start laying yet and i am afraid i am in the same boat....now the light is waning.....darn it. she was a barnyard mix i got some eggs for a broody and the rest started laying and i am so curious to know what she will lay! she is so HUGE. have no idea what the mix was she has 100 hens and 7 roos...could be anything!

I wondered if that would happen! I was hoping my sex links would be early layers and start as close to 16 weeks as possible so I could see some eggs before spring but so far, nothing!
I do have 3 Brahmas- they are supposed to lay well through winter but I don’t know if that counts if they haven’t even started yet. It’s just so hard to wait! :th

That is cool you hatched some! Can you show me pictures,I would love to see!

these are my two barnyard mix pullets. the super huge on is the barred and she is now getting really red on comb etc so maybe she will lay before dead of winter. i hope! the other might be laying. i have 23 now so i dont always know who lays what. the black is the blackest shiniest chicken i have ever seen! looks silkie/cochin maybe svart hanna? her name is crumpet. Agnes might have been fathered by a Neiderheiner or beilefelder? really hugest hen i have seen is ages. sweet as can be.

CRUMPET AND AGNES. I’m so in love. I want a Crumpet and Agnes!! Especially Crumpet. Amazing bird. I hope Agnes gives you eggs soon if she hasn’t already. She looks so huggable!

That’s exactly the cross! Cuckoo Marans with their first generation “Americanas” as they call them (just plain old Easter Eggers). I got 3 of their EEs too, who aren’t laying yet. I wanted a colorful egg basket and really want to see if I actually am going to get colored eggs from them!
