Hey, everyone! I have been raising chickens for the last five years, and have decided that I want to try something new. I want to breed my own strain of Olive Eggers. The idea is simple: you take a rooster from a breed of dark brown laying chickens and breed it with a hen who lays blue eggs. But in reality I know it will take a lot of hard work, I'm up for the challenge!

My question for you is do you have any advance from breeding your own Olive Eggers to share with someone who wants to begin breeding them?

It's pretty simple you put the male in with females and they do the work for you.

I know that What I meant is does anyone have their preferences of which breeds to use as the parents, or likewise advise
