OMG!!! First Game Cam pic ever. Huge Funny thread

Quote:
Exactly what I pointed out many posts ago. I've seen quite a few and they can vary greatly. Tail length also varies greatly with some having 10" tails. The game cam photos show a lot of similarities with a bobcat - pointed ears, cheek tufts, a tail that might be short enough. However, it's not conclusive. It might be a house cat, but mountain lion - I don't see it. They don't have pointed ears or cheek tufts, not to mention a head that large in relation to the body length. Mountain lions have long bodies, long tails, rounded ears, huge feet, all the things this photo does not show.

I'm still going with very young mountain lion.

This has been fun.

I have never seen so many "experts" in my life.

I can hardly wait until we get another photo.

I personally haven't been convinced it's not a young mountain lion.

So, there ya go.

We learned from the local gun supply store that there has been a mountain lion seen about 5 miles from my house. As my husband put it so nicely..."If I see the lion it won't be oh, how majestic ....it will be BANG" I love wildlife, but I love my chickens more. We keep running across new perdators to be worried about. I always thought coyotes would be our biggest worry, but then the bears came and now the worry of a mountain lion stoppin by for a snack. crazy
