Omg!!! Help Me Now!!!! UPDATE _ HE'S OUT but have lost another?

Leave your humidity at about 65% and make sure you are holding temps correctly.

Then sit on your hands and if you can't walk away, don't fog up the window to much or leave too many nose prints.

gonna leave it - bleeding seems to have stopped so hopefully only a small vessel.

beak is in either end and feathers protruding from side/middle of egg - hopefully some air is getting to it... don't think it had pipped internally?

Hi, Im in Australia, so gidday. Hope your little chicken makes it. Its well and truly worth the effort. Its life and its nature, we need to look after it. Let us know how you go.

Regards

scared it' would get shrink wrapped so i added a bit more water - steady ay 71% should i open a fraction and let some out - scared the humidity will get too low if i keep going to 25/26 days?

Ok when you have them on their sides, you don't want the humidity too high. It can cause them to drown in shell, so about 65% is the highest you should be.

Hopefully your little chick will make it. Good that the blood stopped and it's still moving. They only time you want to up the humidty on it now it is the membrane starts to look thick and really white, but you want the others to pip and hatch so don't worry too much.

Leave it for now. If they haven't pipped internally they're ok. Don't add any water unless it goes below 65%. If you need to add later you can also cut up pieces of sponge and soak them. Add one at a time so you don't had to much at once. You'll be fine. I doubt you're going to be waiting past today.
Lots of times what you think is 21 days is actually 20. Depends on the time of day you set and the temp of the eggs before you set them.

oops sorry, I should know better. I live in Maleny, on the sunshine coast hinterland QLD
