Omg!!! Help Me Now!!!! UPDATE _ HE'S OUT but have lost another?

Ah the weight issues.

BTW you can't post info from that site, but you can post the link, so it can't be stickied, but the exact same info is on BYC.

I don't weigh, I candle. Not because I don't like the idea, but I have no scale to weight the grams. hehe

I have FBCMs and AMs, so those eggs are hard to candle and to weigh would be nice. Most of my other breeds I can see at some point.

Ok very helpful - agrees with the moisture loss bit in my paste...

will have to get a celcius/fahrenheit conversion table!!!

I have a janoel JN8-48 full auto and it's quite tall and the windows are on each corner however there is a grid below them marking viewing hard - wonder if I can rip it out???

Since I removed the egg turner they are on the bottom which is 11 inches from the top - wonder what the temp id down there? do you think this added a few days to the hatch date as it must surely be a few degress lower?

I think my computer just glitched since that came up in triplicate ??/

I've been perusing both... the info on here is SO SUPERIOR compared to ours!

If you look at the cheat sheet you'll see how she works at finding the temps. I use 3 thermometors per bator. One on top and 2 on the top of the eggs. That's easier to do when you use a carton.

My hydrometors drive me crazy. I don't pay much attention to them. I also usually do a dry hatch.

I think I'll be the walking dead by morning as I have a 4mth old son who still wants feeds during the night and with this to deal with too....

I predict several cups of coffee will be on the cards....

Best thing to do is walk away if you can. Get some rest. Sometimes I wait all night after the first egg pips and get so exhausted that I fall asleep and they still haven't done much after I've gotten back up. Have to admit some of my best hatches happen when I'm not even around. LOL
