I seriously think it is time to break out the trusty old hammer!!!!! These children are going to drive me completely bonkers!!!

I gotta wonder though if my temps might have beena bit low (alright, with the cooler weather I KNOW it dropped a few times) making these slower. I have my two mutt eggs in there. They are from my mom's EE hen....her eggs ALWAYS produce strong, healthy, HUGE, chicks. Since they aren't even talking to me I am sure we are just going to be a touch slow. And it is STILL only day 20 so I gotta just keep reminding myself of that!!!

The hammer is still away..least i think so ...Lol

Your babies are taking there time

i'm sure you will have a pip or hear peeps by tomorrow if not i have 3 hammers for you all different sizes..Lol

I need a big hammer, Mark. The biggest you have. I want really big pips so they can get out easier!!!! It is seriously driving me insane! Late the night of the 20th day and not a sound! Surely it would take a major disaster to kill 9 seemingly healthy chicks. Right???????

Things are going to be fine! Did you ever find your La Fleche?
I am currently trying to decide which birds I am going to keep since out of the 22 birds I have 13 look to be roosters and my hubby says for now he wants me to pick just 3 breeds and stick with them for now so that I can have some pure eggs this spring. Is your hubby gonna be home soon?

I sure hope so!!!! They still, as of this morning, have not done a thing.

Yes.

I have 6 La Fleche developing very well and on day 14 I think. I am not keeping up with it like I should, but it is written down.

They were moving around like crazy when I candled last night.

I am really hoping I will be getting some pure eggs myself.

Right now I am looking to have BLRW, La Fleche, and Silkies. MAYBE Turkens.....I have three of those developing so we will see what happens there.

But even so, I am not 100% sure they are a breed I want to go with. I am just not sure I want 4 roosters to deal with and keep separate.

Hubby will be here for the entire month of January and then go to Turkey in February. We are pretty excited. We haven't spent more than a week at a time with him in 3 years so a month is going to be great!!!! We initially thought he was leaving in December but he isn't, and we are glad since that will give us an extra long visit.

Well, wish me luck guys!!!!!! I am about to leave again. I am trying to give them their space so they will do something!!!!!!
