whoo who! Congrats! I had a pip last night but nothing else has happened. I have 19 mallard eggs in the bator (started out with 24...) Technically my babies aren't due until Tuesday but I was reading last night that ducks sometimes hatch anywhere between 23 and 28 days! did not see that earlier!

Ooooh, wishing for all those, hehe. I am addicted to my silkies and d'anvers - love bantams. I'm waiting on dominique, blue marans, a few giant cochin and buttercups, and some EE. So far an EE is what popped out. Some bad luck with the new bator but the handmade one going strong. This is going to be a fun day and weekend for all of us.

It's only day 20 for me, so I shouldn't be so anxious. Except that I am! It's my 1st time. My temps are fine now, but throughout the course of incubation ran a tad low. I'm having problems keeping the humidity up to an acceptable level, so I'm not sleeping much these days. That doesn't help! I'm not working right now. That can be good and that can be bad. Not enough to keep me busy!

(Well, I really have plenty to do, just don't want to do anything else. Afraid NOT to moniter this crappy home made incubator!)

OOOOOO i just orded some blue copper maran eggs i have heard so many good things about them i only have bantams now...love my fuzzy butt silkies!!!! Am addicted to tht breed something fierce!!! The blue marans will be my big boys and girls!!! Yes it is gonna be a great weekend for us!!!!!!! Keep me posted!!!!!
