OMG please help me. HELP HELP HELP HELP

Hi Tash--I am from WI also. I would not worry about that hole. If you can see the chick breathing just put it back in the incubator with a wet paper towel too. If you can see the beak through the membrane you could open the membrane a tiny bit by the beak so the chick doesnt suffocate. Then let it do the rest of the work. In my hatching experience almost all the ones I have helped more than that dont make it anyhow.
It is a hard thing to do but usually a late hatching one will be crippled in some way and you have to end it later to be kind. The only think I would do at this time is to open the membrane if you can see the beak.

Good luck! TerriO

I can't see the beak through the membrane I think it's the back end of the chick should I break the membrane a tiniest bit to see more of the chick cause all I can see is membrane

Tashtash, I agree that you should put her back in the incubator. Make sure the humidity is about 65% if you open the first membrane, the chances of her shrink wrapping go up. If she's already pipped the inner membrane just give her time to pip the shell herself. Once they pip the inner membrane it could be 8 hours before it pips the shell. What is the humidity at?

Hummitidy is 70% I broke the shell and a membrane just under the shell but she is covered in a membrane and that's what I'm not sure if I need to break to see her should I put a small hole in the other end to see if that's where her beak is
