Omg this week has been just horrible

well first my cornish x hen died ( i knew she wouldnt live long but just the fact that she was everyones favorite and she died is sad ) then the very same day my favorite little runt sizzle chick dissapears i think a hawk got her or something

and now my RIR roo is gonei cant find him anywhere and he was here an hour ago, i hope he hasnt gone into my neighbors yard cuz shes got this awful key west gypsy rooster and he kills any other roosters and if elvis went exploring over there hes dead now too

ugh andd i think my chick that was supposed to hatch tommorrow in the bator probably died today cuz the power was out for like 3 hours wow and its only tuesday

Things could always be worse, my dear. A member here lost her 16 year old daughter yesterday.

It sucks losing pets, however, some times things have a way of making us look at how lucky we really are.

I was so worried about losing my chickens that my husband added a large run that is attached to our coop and i just let our girls out each evening to play and then they go back in at dark and i lock their run door back up. I just cant do the "free range chicken thing" Its just so high risk here.

We have a neighbor that lets their big HUGH red dog run and i wouldnt be able to keep a chicken, not only that, if i dont keep a watchful eye on the girls they are headed for the road.
