Dar, You are being so amazingly diligent in treating this!

Thanks for sharing updated pics. The left wing especially looks like it's making good progress.

Wow, it just doesn't look like it's getting any better... originally I would have said it was a burn or infection but now I'm thinking it's fungal too... or an allergy...

I'm not a chicken expert but if it is fungal, you definately want to avoid getting her wet again as moisture helps the fungus to grow and spread. Keep her dry and look for an anti-fungal powder.

Dar is there anyway you can get a skin scrape looked at??? That really should be looking better not worse.. I agree with the way it is still spreading it may be fungal. Do you have access to Tea Tree Oil? also known as Melaleuca... Tea tree is a Antibiotic, Antifungal, Anti Inflammatory adm the stuff can be amazing... Just another maybe... If you can get a scrape done then the vet could atleast tell you what was causing it and you can research treatments yourself... Good luck

I was thinking the same thing- a fungus. Otherwise I would expect to see some more improvement. I am not familiar with Virkron, but Hibiclens is what we use in the hospital. It's a great soap. You might try using an athletes foot fungus treatment too (ointment or powder). I'm not sure if it would burn her skin or not. That's what we used on my boys' yeast (fungus) infection in their groin when they wore diapers (I used the ointment so it woul stay on. But on human patients, we often use powder in the groin folds etc. to help dry it out). Works like a charm, and you will see fast improvement if it is yeast. You might try it on a small spot to see. And it's cheap too- you can buy the store brand. The other part ot fungus is keep her DRY DRY DRY. I'm wondering if you could just take your pictures and a skin scraping to the vets- for him to pop it under a microscope? Maybe that might give you answers. Good luck!!
