On day 19....Ack!

I can't stand the suspence. I don't know if you all remember me but I was the one that order eggs just to have them scramble in transit. Now I have 19 eggs from a lovely local lady and when I candled them, I saw veins and such. Oh the wait is killing me!

You will do fine...lol...Find something interesting to do the next 3 days!...Have patience and sit on your hands the chicks know how to get out of a shell all by themselves...

Me too. Day 19 today (almost over), and I've been checking the eggs constantly. It wasn't bad until yesterday. I think it is not being able to turn them anymore (I was doing it by hand).

What are you hatching?

I have 6 BLRW eggs, 10 mixed breed local eggs, and one from a guy at farmers market (white egg). They were all moving yesterday, so we'll see what actually hatches.

I got them for free from another local member around here. Most are brown bantam eggs. A handful of full size eggs. So it's a Christmas Present!

I was just checking on them one last time before bed and I can hear a chick peeping and scritching on the inside of the egg. I'm so excited, now I'll never get to bed.

I'm on day 19 as well. Oh, the suspense. I only have three and I'm not sure if one's still alive. It didn't look neatly big enough to hatch when I candled on day 18. We'll see.
