On day 22 (Sat.) and NOTHING...how long should I wait?

Thank you so much for all the encouragement and great ideas...I was able to up the humidity to 66% so I'll give that awhile and go from there. Bigstack, I don't think you Hijacked my thread at all....glad to know I'm not alone on the late chicks. I'm just so confused on what could be happening, I know for a fact they were all moving right before lockdown, so where are they? I thought this last bit would be a piece of cake, that's what I get for thinking

Catherine- Great suggestion about the mister. I used a straw through the holes in the top to add water, but if I get in a bind I'm glad to have more ideas.

Cooler outside? Is it cooler outside somewhere? Bwahahahahaha....

You know I am a little tired of all this snow, but this summer, when we have enough water, I'll be glad it snew.

Well, I just checked. Deffinately herd a peep. and saw 2 wiggle! 17 in lockdown. I hope more come along soon!!!! I'm trying to stay away. just don't know if I can. LOL I still have 3 more sets coming up and 1 more set just came in mail this morning. still have 1 more coming in mail. 17 chicks next week too. Im gonna be busy. haha I just hope these hatch. I have alot invested in these eggs. Not to mention I Hate to have anything die in my care. even if technicaly its not alive yet. I guess it just depends on your belief in what classifies life. LOL (dont want to get into that) hahaha

Thanx for the help and well wishes!

Good luck and God bless!

I finished my first hatch two weeks ago, and all my babies hatched on Day 24-25. I am fairly sure from all these threads talking about late chicks, it can be safely assumed babies are slower to NINJA OUT in winter.

Congrats on the hatch!!!! Take pics!

My hatch day was Thursday, and I finally got a pip at 1am this morning, it's day 23 now and I finally have 4 out.

I thought it was going to be a complete bust, but everyone was just late. It makes me wonder if my temps are okay. I have a Spot Check thermometer which should be very reliable. It has said temps were good the whole time. But then again, I always try to err on the side of too low than too high.
