I only read the first bit, but it seems like this boobincubation has the upper hand. Much more ginormous they are, or so it sounds, which would mean the egg is completely surrounded.

I’m in the “Club that can’t boobincubate”. It would be sitting there exposed.

I'd have the same issue and throw in the fact I toss and turn at night, I'd end up with egg all over me and the sheets.

I don't mind at all, I laugh at it myself! I'm just really praying I get a nice Silkie baby out of this whole mess. I don't mind admitting I've no clue what I'm doing. XD

I would google DIY incubators, I've never made one myself but there a tons of ideas out there. I particularly like the cooler bater.

I made one styrofoam with a 90 percent hatched. The only ones that didn’t hatched were the silkies

Share your design, please? I'm agonizing over where to put the bulb, where to put the viewing window, can I get away with a plastic window instead of glass, and what to put on the bottom. Too many different designs online haha!

Just pick one. If you include a fan, the location of the lamp/heat element will be less important. I replaced some windows with plexiglass. If you put a piece of plexiglass on the inside of the opening and another on the outside, it will be more insulative and eliminate most of the condensation.

I looked it up on google. I’ll try to find it. Now I don’t hatch eggs anymore. I leave it to my experts. I have a Dutch and sebright that were excellent incubators and mom.
But I love your idea.
