On day 3 of trying to hatch an egg in my boobs

Pics
but did you look at the photos of the 1st chick after egg was accidentally damaged? Doesn't it look like it had developed just fine?

Just a little behind in my opinion. It's obviously a guess but I think it was a couple days behind.

@PrincessKiara - I wasn't getting notifications so the thread grew since last time I was here. Poor thing, I am so sorry to hear what happened and my heart breaks for you. You put so much effort and research and care into this, and still are. I give you alot of credit. Again, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your chick but wish you the best moving forward. A big hug to you!

Well.

Of my now 11 boobeggs, 3 are definitely growing! Embryos already clearly visible with veining, barely on day 2! I can see the ghost of something in 2 more, and I'm sure more will show up as time progresses. Of the 11 at least one has to hatch! I will not fail this time!

I don't know if I can video these, being so small and speckled...but...I do also have a regular mutt chicken egg in there, that I put in yesterday morning...

I literally cannot fit even one more egg in there...LOL

Are you still trying??
haha
Sure am!

Am down to 4 quail eggs and 2 chicken eggs in my boobs.

Quail eggs:

#10 - Blood spot. Cracked it open, there was a huge pool of blood inside, and what may have been an embryo possibly at 1-2 days of development.

#9 - Blood ring. Upon cracking it open a 2 day dead embryo was revealed.

#8 - Infertile, burst in my boob. Ew!

#7 - Infertile, discarded yesterday.

#6 - Same as #7

#5 - Infertile, discarded this morning. Yolk appeared to be somewhat congealed, as if the egg had somehow been opened, yet it was not cracked.

#4 - Half the egg is dark. In what little I can make out, veining is visible.

#3 - Same as #4.

#2 - Same as #s 3 and 4. I can see a tiny bit of movement.

#1 - The embryo fills most of the egg and is kicking like an eggbeater!

Chicken eggs:

#1 - Infertile, discarded this morning.

#2 - Fertile! Just barely beginning to show.

#3 - Replacement for #1. We shall see.
