Well he has definitely come out of his shell!!! He is a little livewire. But the poor littel bugger still doesn't have a name. We have narrowed it down to Bueno or Amigo, or Pequito. Ok folks, lets vote!!
You aint' just whistlin Dixie. Look at that paw next to Jessica's thumb. He is going to be big. Although I do have to laught because my 4 month old newfie was 4 times bigger when he was born, but....
I really liked Pedro too, but my kids say it is some dork in Napoleon Dynamite..... oh well. I am leaning towards the Bueno too. He is a cutie pie isn't he!!
Okay, I am getting very concerned. Bueno sleeps curled up between my shoulder and head. He doesn't even move and he makes it all night without having to go potty. My four month newfie whose bladder is bigger than Bueno himself, can't make it more than 3 hours. Even when I take Bueno out at 2 am when I take Bucky, he won't go. Anyway.... he won't eat unless we hand feed him. I saw the guy I bought him from hand feeding him, but I just thought he was giving him a few treats while we were looking at the other puppies. This little guys tummy grumbling kept me up all night. Literally. Even when we put the bowl right in front of him he won't eat unless we put some in our hand. He will drink out of the bowl, but not eat. We make sure the other dogs are out of sight etc. OTOH I think he will eat when he gets hungry enough. But he is a puppy and and only weighs a pound or two. I know he will get malnourished very quickly unless he figure it out. Any ideas???
my chis dont' like to go at night if it's cold or wet. we have a joke about holding them over the railing and giving a good squeeze.
for the feeding, could you put the food in your hand while sitting with him right next to the bowl til get he gets interested in it? then put right next to the bowl. then in?
i was thinking he looked big for a chi, too. but could be the pics or could be a x. either way,
very cute.
ours were so tiny they could crawl through a chain link fence. literally.
If he still wont eat or dring after about 24 hours I would take him to the vet to check him for Parvo. I bought a Doberman pup along time ago and he got car sick the entire way home (only dog I have ever seen car sick) he would not eat or drink and would not even go to the bathroom. When I took him to the vet it was so bad that they could not even treat him. I did not know anything about Parvo back then. That was over 22 years ago. My point is if you are worried at all go ahead and take him to the vet so they can at least do a puppy check and you wont worry so much. Good luck with the new cutie!!!!
I have a Great Dane that won't eat unless I sit right in the kitchen with him. It drives me crazy!! When I go on vacation my DH says he won't eat. So I can see how that could get old really fast.
