What a great idea using the turner rack for the hatch. I wish I had thought of that before I put my bator in "lock down" mode for the hatch.
I have mine in a paper carton. But with this being my first hatch I'm sure I'll have many more chances to try that turner rack.

yes i am due Sunday and this is my first hatch too but since i had so many eggs i just layed them all in there, if i was to use just the racks for holding the eggs i would be worried about one falling over and creating like a domino effect and having them all crack when they fall especially when it comes time to haching and they are rocking their eggs, its just me tho as i am not sure how deep the turner is but it doesnt look to deep

Edited to tell BawGock i still think that chicken is huge i will see if the 1 jersy giant i am keeping will grow to look like that we will see

It's not super deep but it does turn the eggs and tilts them at quite an angle and they do stay put. I'm assuming that the chicks don't rock them too much!

iv seen some chicks act like ther eis a party in there egg going from one side of a bator to the other it just depends on how much the chick wants out
