So once they do start to lay, how long before they're regular? Two days ago we got our first egg from one of our young girls. Old Faithful, Sally, lays every day but we haven't seen another one yet from the newbie. How long is usual?

Thanks!

Still nothing more. Do you think there's anyway that Sally laid 3 eggs in 2 days? The "extra" egg we found was smaller and I didn't think there was anyway she could have laid 2 in one day. She's very regular, between 8:30 and 9:30 every morning is when she lays her egg and that's when we found the regular one. In the afternoon is when we found the smaller one.

Curious. Either she's quite the chicken or one of the young uns laid an egg. I am really hoping it's the young un!

Takes some pullets awhile to get the laying down everyday. I've had pullets start to lay for a week or more and then shut down for a few weeks. Patience!

What is this patience of which you speak?
