One eye shut?

Maybe I'm just a worried new chicken father but thought I'd ask since I've only had chickens for a couple months. I have a Barred Rock hen that is 20 weeks old and this morning I noticed she keeps one eye shut most of the time. It's not goopy or anything and works fine, she just keeps it covered with the lid. Is this normal or maybe she's getting ready to lay an egg? Her head is getting pretty red and she's acting just a little different, still normal but just a little off. I'm hoping an egg as I feel like an expectant father. Anyone want to give me some reassurance and all will be okay?

Do you have a picture? It's probably nothing, but maybe another chicken pecked at her eye and that's why she is walking around with it shut. We have two chickens who are half blind from that problem. Good luck! BTW,
