I’ve just found our Isa brown with an extremely swollen eye. It’s weeping a little too. No nasal discharge, eating and drinking as normal. I opened the eyelid and can still see her healthy eye inside, but the lids are swollen shut! Any suggestions on how to treat until vet attention can be sought or ideas of what it might be? I don’t know how old she is or her history, she was adopted as an adult but has been quite a healthy and feisty chicken since we have had her. She likes to think she is top dog, but she is second on the pecking ladder. Our head hen is not aggressive and won’t actively seek her out. Thank you.
