a part of its insides hanging out. it is a small piece of skin like attached with a cord like part. my guess is this is a bad sign.

the chick seems okay, and when i turned it over the body was not open, it is like an umbillical cord.

should i cut it off? has anyone seen anything like this? i am going to see what develops during the day.

i would guess this does not pose hard to other chicks hatching.....

when it hatched during the night it spread blood over other eggs as it did what chicks usually do when they hatch which is move around the incubator.

It's probably just a bit of the bloody membrane still attatched to the cord and dragging it around. When you get a moment, if you can, take a pic and show us.
If that's the case, just keep an eye on it so other chicks don't peck on it and just let it dry. Chances are the chick will step on it and pull it off itself, but if not, just give it time. If it's what I think, he should be fine. :
Congrats on the hatch!

Leave the chick for 24 hours in the incubator after it hatches before cutting the cord in case it hasn't absorbed all the blood yet. Cutting it too soon has a low potential to result in it bleeding to death.
