One kids thinks this is a rooster?

I'm no expert, but my guess would be rooster. I'm seeing pointy hackle feathers and big feet.

And isn't that a male coloration, too? I could be very wrong there since I'm only going by what I've read and seen, but I think that patterning only happens in boys.
