I would follow Weeg and Overomare’s advice on cleaning the wound twice a day with 2%chlorhexidene or Vetericyn, and applying antibiotic ointment. The wound should close together over time if it is kept moist and there is no infection. The wound is close to the lungs up in the back, so hopefully, you can prevent infection.
