One of my hens attacked another hens hatchling and this piece of something is coming out someone please tell me what to do

Sadly im going to put the chick down but just right now another chick hatched and now what do i do as soon as one has hatched

Can you put some wire mesh around the nesting site of the broody, or create some makeshift partition so no other hens will be able to interfere?

And after the hatch you could move the mama with her chicks to a safe place on their own.

Perhaps you could post some pictures of your setup, but try not to disturb the broody during the hatch.

Mama hen is in a coup. I never thought this could or would happen so i closed the coup and the egg i hatched right now is in an incubator and im also planning on keeping with me so i can teach it to not be scared. Can i message you directly on this site?

How many eggs are there still under the broody hen? But do not disturb her to count, I just ask in case you remember how many she started with.

I think it would be best to give the chick back to the broody hen and the siblings as soon as they are hatched.

She has at most 5 eggs under her and i got 4 more eggs in the incubator and one is starting to crack. Also what kind of stuffed toy would be best?
