One of these things is not like the others??!!

Okay... This is my best guess... I am thinking... (looking at the first posted pix)... You have two cuckoo and one Barred rock.. it is of course the second one... The cuckoo barring will develop though not as pronounced as breeder stock.. I hope that is what you were wanting because that is what it looks like.. I have ordered hatchery stock of cuckoos and that looks about right.

1- Cuckoo Marans (I have 13 that are about a month older than yours)
2- Barred Rock
3- Looks kinda like Cuckoo but the legs color is off (looks yellow). Not a barred rock- should be alot more white on it. Maybe a mutt between the two?

I'm just going to throw this out there. The second one looks exactly like the cuckoo marans I ordered from My Pet Chicken last year. Mine has light yellow legs with black spots. She does not have the very distinct barring like barred rock -- instead it is rather muted, but quite pretty. Exactly like what you have in picture number two.

Also good to point out that you can't always use leg color with hatchery stock cuckoo marans. Many cuckoo marans lines were crossed with barred rock at some point, so have the yellow legs. So, number 2 could be a cuckoo marans, just not a perfect one. My imperfect cuckoo is my favorite bird, even with her yellow legs and average brown eggs.

#1 is definitely cuckoo marans. #2 is definitely barred rock. I have no idea what #3 is, it is neither of the above. Barred/cuckoo birds feather in barred/cuckoo. I think I lean toward the black sexlink or jersey giant call.
