one pekin duckling question

We ended ip with one duckling and 5 chicks wea are raising together in a brooder. Duck is getting way to big. Suggestions on adding to the coop with older chickens?

slowly, can you set up an area with temp fencing to get chickens and duck use to each other, that way chickens won't see duck as an intruder. may only take a couple of days or a few weeks but if they are allowed to be out foraging that will help too, bring out the goodies and let them all be together that way they are focusing on feeding rather than the newbie. It takes time but can be done with success.
 
Weve been putting all of them out when the weather cooperates. So we should continue on that path? i think it'll freak if we just move it out without its chickie buddies (they are all pretty attached to each other) so we look for something bigger until they can all go in the coop together... or figure out temporary seperation in the coop. when you decide it's time to move the chicks outside to the coop you'll need to do this same setup intro slowly so they all get use to each other.
