"Oh, yes!" Eva said quietly, a little startled. " I would just like some coffee, please, with cream and sugar."Megan just now noticed the young woman (Eva) at the corner. "Oh, miss, I'm so so sorry! I wasn't aware you were here," she apologized. "What can I get you today?"
Megan grinned. "I can do coffee, but tea's my specialty," she said cheerfully as she took a mug down from the rack."Oh, yes!" Eva said quietly, a little startled. " I would just like some coffee, please, with cream and sugar."
Megan's smile expanded. She pointed to the chalkboard hanging on the wall. "Well, we have no small selection here at The Perfect Cup," she said grandly. "There are our sweet teas, our herbal blends, hot teas, cold teas, any kind of teas," she listed them as if singing a song."What kinds of tea do you have?" Eva asked.
"OK, can I just stick with the caffeinated coffee, please, because I'm feeling kind of depressed today, thank you." Eva replied calmly. "Perhaps some other time"
"Some iced peach tea would perk you right up," Megan commented. As she filled the coffee mug, she looked over her shoulder at Eva. "Have you gotten a mask from the store?" She asked. She stirred in a spoonful of sugar and poured a little cream in."OK, can I just stick with the caffeinated coffee, please, because I'm feeling kind of depressed today, thank you." Eva replied calmly. "Perhaps some other time"
