Agreed. I did get way off topic and for that I apologize

There is a good write up about perosis and how it believed that the same thing that causes perosis can cause angel wing, and it wasn't too much protein. I'll see if I can find it.
This subject comes up a lot in peafowl when they see perosis, and people swear that it's from too high a protein, and I've seen hundreds of posts from duck people about protein and angel wing, yet I myself have raised many ducks and peafowl on 27% turkey starter and haven't had an issue with either. We all gotta do what works best for us.I would enjoy reading it. I'll admit I'm older and a bit set in my ways however I also know that sometimes our own experiences can give us the wrong conclusions ( the world must be flat because no one has ever sailed around it)
The crop is almost always on their right side, but occasionally you will find one on the left. I have one like this, so I called my vet asked if it was normal and she said that it is.Just to let you all know. In the morning she was completely normal. It was just really well fed little duckling. It was strange, because I thought the crop is located somewhere in the middle, not on it's left side. Perhaps it just floats left and right, I am not an expert on duck anatomy.
