I'm also lucky to have an easy supply of great boxes at work. Mine are about 3 x 3 x 3 as well. I usually start out with all the chicks in one box and just cut a port hole in them to add additonal boxes as they grow. Last year we ended up with 4 boxes taped together for about 20 chicks. This year we will have around 25-30 to raise so I'm planning on 6 boxes by the time they are ready to go out at 6-8 weeks, depending on weather...is winter ever going to end this year???!!!
