Take a look at the APQS George. They have been around for awhile now you may be able to find a good deal on a used one. For quilting only.

I be glad when I can look down enough to be able to get this quilt pieced. The neck seems to be getting better. Maybe by next week when I have a 4 day weekend.

I'll look that up. And I'm glad your neck is getting better! That's no small thing!

Oh, I found this review. It's similar to the Janome Artistic sit down machine, but the price, oh my, it's double the Janome! Well, actually, more than double. I can get the Janome Artistic, the basic one, not the one with a small computerized console, for $2999 at Ken's Sewing Center in AL. The George is supposedly $6999. I'd have to be able to justify even spending the $3000, which is 10x more than I paid for my Brother 1500, since I sell very few quilts, but if sales continue, who knows? Maybe some day.

Well, I am making it into a cover for my longarm. Luckily it was a toddler bed sized quilt top.

Oh, good! Not such a humongous tragedy!

Well, I'm trying the meandering leaves of Angela Walters. Seems so simple. Well, it ain't. At least, it isn't for me. Mine are not so much meandering as winter windblown, LOL. But, they'll hold the sandwich together anyway. I do the paisley so much better, I swear! No, not showing a picture of that yet. Trying to get a handle on it first.

Correction: I am calling this round "Raggedy Winter Windblown Leaves", LOL. Definitely not as easy as it looks. Maybe if I had a larger throat space, but maybe that has zero to do with my difficulty with this one. I can just do all my future quilts in paisley and loop-de-loops. Yes, sounds like a plan. :hmm

Oh, do you like Tula Pink fabrics? You'll laugh, but I thought it was just the name of a line of fabrics, had no idea until yesterday that it was an actual person's name! LOL. I'm not sure I really like them. They're so darn busy! But, a quilt full of them keeps you interested in finding everything that's in them, I guess.

They are busy, to be sure, but nice and bright and great focus fabrics. I don't know that I would use a whole line in one quilt, but I do like them.

I like some of them, but not most of them. Look at this Tula Pink quilt that Angela Walters is quilting in this video. It's called Boomerang, but it's the Primitive Heart block I've used many times. But the fabrics, oy vey!
