Ongoing Quilt Projects, Continued from the "No Appreciation...." Thread

Sure is quiet here. We must all be crafting!

I finally finished the first of Angela Walters' free motion quilting challenges. I started the quilting about 9 yesterday morning and finished the binding about 7 last night. Talk about a quilt coma! It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. I don't know that I would FMQ anything larger than a wall hanging on my sewing machine, though. But for table runners, tree skirts and such, it's going to be fine.

How do you quilt the larger ones, then, Terrie? On your longarm? I was doing walking foot for part of my current project and I was so BORED! I outlined some of the rooster blocks and then went back to my FMQ for the remainder. I had planned outlines on the rest of the log cabin block rows, but I just couldn't do it.

WOW I wasn't getting notices!!

I will have to go back and read!

I wanted to show ya'll my nearly done quilt top.

I just need to figure out if I have enough backing to go ahead and add a border or not.

I think going plain white would be ok....
I do have enough dark blue AND teal to do those too. I plan on dark blue binding.

I am fairly proud of this one.

Very nice! Such a classic quilt.
I finished the quilting on my Autumn Roosters throw quilt today and got the binding pinned on. If we don't lose power, I'll probably have it finished in a day or two. If it cools down, that is. It's too hot and muggy prior to Florence coming in to do much indoor work.

That's that pretty quilt from the gifted fabric?

I bet it's just as gorgeous as your others!

Holy Hanna! I just FINALLY looked at your location!

Stay safe over there!

Are you getting the heavy rain/flood?

The winds are increasing, but we'll probably get no more than our normal windy rainstorm, being on the outer bands of it as it veers back to the north.

Yes, it has a lot of the gifted fabric, some from my own stash, but I used the rooster panel. Will do a photo of it when I get the binding on.
