pekins are supposed to start laying in 15-20 weeks.

I have several babies ready to pop the length of time it take ducks to hatch is maddening I tell you maddening!

The oldest 2 are a pekin and a swedish. The little ones are pekin, swedish and indian runners. You can barely see the older swedish in the back near the fence. She's the one I saved from drowning. I gave beak to mouth and brought her back.

Cool. Yea they are supposed to start around 5 mos but mine generally don't lay until 6-7 so I can only tell you from what mine do. It may have something to do with climate who knows

I do remember the duck saving though

Yeah, it was the only thing I could think of to help it since it was still alive. I held it upside down and gently pushed on it's chest to try to get water out then did the cpr and got it breathing again. I could feel it's heart beating so there was hope. After it was breathing again I put it under a heat lamp in the grow out pen. It's always been the smaller one. I had another swedish that was 3X this ones size and a snake killed it not long after I saved this one from drowning.

Way to go Em! lol. Yeah my girls started laying at like 15, and 17 weeks, I have 3 pekin girls well 4 actually but one is about the same age as yours, she was an easter baby, she isnt laying yet
