I'm working on thinning out the birdies so when we find a place it won't be such a burdon moving them all. I sold several the past week and the rest are going to the livestock auction tomorrow. Those i'm willing to part with anyway. I have almost 30 going to the auciton and i've sold nearly that many and I have more staying. I haven't counted how many I have for fear of fainting. lol We emptied 5 pens. I forgot about 2 bantam chicks I want to sell also. I'll have to remember to grab those before I leave in the morning.

Usually DH goes with me and keeps up with the cages while I keep up with whats sold but this time he has to work and I get to try to keep up with it all.

I would ask which grandson but to cover them both, they are healing fine. The head injury grandson still has a bald spot just above the ear and his head is tender when his baby brother decided to pull his hair.

My oldest grandson got his stitches out. He had 14 just below his knee. After they took them out it opened back up so it didn't heal like it should so now he has this huge scab. It's gonna scar bad but he's not one to worry about scars. He's got something to talk about now. lol And boy is he a talker.

Just adorable. Those darker ones i'm thinking may be calico. I put it in another post but I kept one out of 2 I had and it's got nice curly wing feathers so far. I"m hoping it is calico like it's daddy. It would be nice to have a calico in the bunch. Daddy is getting sold tomorrow and replaced with my favorite roo M.J.

yeah they are all the ones I got from you, so you may be right, one is lighter in color than the other two, so I may have a calico!

I am so happy they hatched!

Also, I have one baby out of the Wheaten EE eggs that I got from the swap, had two make it to hatch the other I am going to check now, they are under a hen so I will see if it made it out, if not I will help it. There was a 3rd but it got stuck and I didnt know it and ants got to it... stupid hot weather has the bugs over populating... dangit.

(totally has nothing to do with the swap lol, but I had to share them with you guys arent they adorable?!)

Okay, back to the swap stuff, so I havent gotten pictures of the Wheaton EEs but they are doing good Momma is getting along with the other 2 mommas in our "nursery" pen.

here is a picture of the buff baby, which once it was all fluffed out I found out it had two black spots on its back and one on its head, this isnt one of yours Em it is a silkie from I think maybe itsie bitsie?

Yep, one of yours then, I got silkies from you and that egg was marked silkie not sizzle so it is yours, I am guessing that it is from the buff/partridge, think the little fella might just be more buff that partridge!



Ya'll I have been sooooo bad today! I got 2 piglets and 2 more chickens.... a friend that usually buys from me is liquidating her flock cause her husband is sick of chickens and she had some longtailed japanese, she didnt know what they were so I assumed sumatra, she brought em over and they are yokohamas it is just a pair so I dont feel TOOOOO guilty bwahahaha, I also have magpie calls getting ready to hatch.... man I have my hands full, but my mom came today and got my daughter for the week, my first mommy vacation in 5 years.... what will I do with myself.... lol

Well, you could eat ice cream and look at byc on the computer. It's too hot to do anything else.

I went out and fed half the critters, had to come in to cool off . It's ridiculous ! I hope you all are staying cool! Oh, I sold a bin of chickens to a BYCer today, she is just starting out, so good luck to her;-)

Today I took my chicks out of the fish tanks in the garage and put them in a brooder outside. I went out a little while ago , and they were running around like mad, catching moths. Too cute! I need to call the guy that buys them, I am sure there are at least 50 . Oh, and I sold some eggs to a restaurant . She wants more in two weeks, that's good so my extras don't sit around. I am going to have to quit putting eggs in the bator, I feel like I am having withdrawal symptoms or something. I will have to start selling more.
