I have a question for you all;
If you are a regular on this chain and you have a full incubator and reserved space for the next several weeks, but want to snag eggs on the chain, how long is it fair to ask the person to wait to ship your eggs? I know many of us on here have extra eggs we are trying to share with others and need to ship them asap. If you guys could give me your opinions that would be great!

Hey Daze,

I keep a detailed log of my swaps and buys so I know when I have stuff scheduled to go out. But I only have 18 girls so my daily egg count isn't as high as some of the folks here. Typically, I'm "sold out" with a wait list. So for me, it's not a big deal to send eggs out a little later - I just schedule it on my log and mail it out when the date arrives. If I it looked like I might end up with a surplus I could just post them in the BIN section or make a quiche

Thanks you guys! I didn't even know there was a chat thread for the crazy egg chain! Anyway, what I take away from this is if it is ok with the swapper, then it is appropriate.
I do keep a handwritten log also, but it is so full! I am at 5 pages with 7 orders per page! And I also have the receiving log too.

It gets quite complicated when the list is long. I keep checking and double check who and what I am sending out.

Have you guys figured out an organized way to keep the dates you send them out on straight? I currently am using color coded markers to circle the date. I have to do this with my expected list too so I can guess how many eggs are in the bator at a time. I am thinking of maybe using index cards and have them in date order? Any other ideas?
